England Day 03: Onwards to the old East London Polytechnic School

So we're on our way to my dad's old university campus. The journey starts from Buckinham Palace onwards to Barking (yes that's the name of a real place.
Here's the bus station at Piccadilly Circus.
Once at Barking, dad flagged down is very patriotic cab.
Here's what it looks like inside! It's really neat with the two fold up chairs.
Once at Barking, it was onwards to a cheap meal from a local grocery store. It was 2.50 pounds for a this bag of cheddar and onion crisps (what the brits call chips). A bottle of juice and....
This sandwich of British Roast Chicken Dinner sandwich.
Here's a snapshot of the remaining building of the campus. The actual campus moved, and this is now a new housing estate. After the visit, we went to the Millennium Dome, (it's actually called the O2 center, but O2 is like Rogers, a media mongrel, and they renamed the dome, so I don't recognize its current name)
Here's the Millennium Dome in all its glory.
I took a picture of this line, and I thought it was a really cool fact. But I later found out that this was the Prime Meridian! So that was a nice surprise.
I have no clue what this building was but it was very nice looking. In the front is a cafe and restaurant. a little ways down, I discovered this dock, which will be used during the Olympics.
Here's the dock, it's really well designed and laid out.
This was a very nice sculpture with construction in the background.
This is the boat that will take you to another place. Much like the subway, except along the Thames River.
So I walked around before going in the Millennium Dome. It's really neat as the different shops are all modeled after old British architecture.
Here's the inside of the Millenium Dome. It's really cool and pretty.

  3. Oh, so the millennium dome is a modern theater with stages and movie theater. They are all in the same area. The neat thing is that they are currently showing Batman live. lol. I heard it was pretty good.
