Italy 01 18-09-2011: Italy-Ian!

Alright, since I will be snapping pictures like crazy, my organization vs when I'll be posting will be all over the place! I'll also be in Italy for a year, so I have to adapt.

Here's the london station, from which I departed for France. Bye bye London! You really were a gem!

Here's the TGV that I took from Paris to Torino. A really quick 100 MPH+ train. There aren't any pics when I was on board because I was simply mesmerized by the view that was whipping by as I was on the train, and shots went by too quick. It was simply beautiful.

As soon as I arrived in Torino/Turin (Turin is the english version of the real Italian word for the city of Torino). I arrived at around 9 pm, thus everything was taken at night. The scenery along the river was awesome. I have yet to find out what building this was, but it's on a hill.

This is the bridge connecting the east and west sides of Torino.

Here's an old rebuild castle that's used primarily for tourism.

This was a waterfall that I saw, and there's some sort of room behind it. I still don't know what's behind it.

This is same waterfall above, and it's part of a large central square.

Here's the final picture of the night, this is a snap of the gas stations that are along the road side. You just pull into them as you drive, then merge back into traffic when you're done!

England Day 05: The last day

We start off the last day with a cake of the Stig!

This cake was in the grocery store when I was purchasing food supplies for myself in Italy.

This here is another bout of Marmite products. Marmite Cheddar! I didn't get any, but it was tempting.

This was a very tastey potato samosa! The skin was sooo crispy and the inside was sooo fluffy!

This was errr, an Indian dessert. I have no recollection of what it's called, but it was delicious.

Here's a rather incredible sidewalk parking job performed by Davinder, he took us around this section of England to see some sites like the Webley stadium and the mosque.

This is the Hindu Mosque in the area. It has been under construction for 7 years. The carvings are incredibly intricate and they are all made of stone imported from India. Infact, all the materials for this building is from India.

This was a great restaurant called Indian Summer! They had really great food and, I totally stuffed myself.

This is the mango yorgurt drink.

Here is chicken masala (I think) and lamb kebabs.

Some potato fritters.

Can't for the life of me remember what this was.

And finally the um, baked cheese. It's actually a type of mild curd that is solidified into cubes, and seasoned!

England Day 04: Covering some really steep terran

We stayed at this small bead and breakfast, which was the same place where they filmed the first Dr. Dolittle!

Here's my room that I stayed in. It's mean for two, but since we were a group of three, we had to split up.

This is the residential place from outside.

and here's breakfast. The mushroom was delicious!

This is the pub section from the outside. The residential area is to the right, where my parents are walking towards.

This was a church in that town. I think it's from the 1700's.

This  is the mechanical clock that still works that operates the bell in the same church.

This is a picture taken of Bath. It's called bath due to the roman baths that still exists in the area. This was practically the highest point of the city. It was really nerve wracking getting up here because the hills were so steep! The inclines were sometimes at least 40 degrees! Since it was a manual car I was driving, it was a challenge to ensure that the car wouldn't stall.

England Day 04: The Druids secret meeting place

This was a zoom shot of a platform that's holding up one of the stones. There is a large fence set up around the stone henge, so you're not allowed to get close to it. In fact, the entire area is fenced off and the only way to get to it is via underground tunnel under the road.

This is a marker stone that lines up with stone henge.

It was starting to get thunder-stormy so this was a really cool and eerie shot.

England Day 04: The countryside!

So after Windsor Castle we headed off to go to Stone Henge! This is great because we get to see the England countryside. There's not much to say about the country side, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

OH! What do I spy!?

Actally not, this was what I spotted! It's an old Ferrari! I have no clue what it is, but it's was at a race track and it sounded glorious.

Baaaaaaa!

I am not sure what this was, but it was really imposing.

A Rolles Royce Convertable! Classic of course.
